摘要

针对互联网上的多媒体流,提出了一种新的接收端缓存驱动的分层质量自适应机制。接收方不断地监视其缓冲区占用情况,并在缓冲区占用超出范围时通过向发送方发送请求命令来启动质量适应。然后发送方根据请求调整要发送的分层多媒体数据包的质量和数量。仿真结果表明,采用该机制可以实现稳定的缓冲区占用和多媒体流的整体质量提高。此外,利用时间窗口的空闲时间传输更多的高级增强层数据包,保证了网络资源的有效利用。
