But in reality, it is not as easy as we imagined, many students who still have difficulty in writing. They also make some errors in writing, such as errors in grammar. In this research, the formulation of the problem is about types of grammatical errors that students often make in writing descriptive text. The purpose of this study is to determine the grammatical errors that students make in writing descriptive text. The method used in this study was qualitative descriptive and the subjects of the study were all 7th-grade students of SMPN 05 Tamansari. The data collection techniques used were interviews and documentation.
