Thisstudyexaminedtheimpactofonlinediscussionpostsonachievementofweb-basedassessments foranupperlevelundergraduatebusinessandtechnologywritingintensivecourse.Usingatreatment groupandacontrolgroup,studentachievementscoresfortheonlineassessmentsweremeasured. Resultsindicatethatassessedgradesofthetreatmentgroupswerehigherthanthecontrolgroup, howeverstatisticalsignificancewasmixedamongthewebassessments.Theresultsfurtherillustrate theneedforadditionalresearchintoonlinediscussionsappliedtoweb-basedassessments.
