The IEEE 1641 (Signal and Test Definition) STD Standard provides a new way to define test requirements independently of the language and test station platform. With this approach, instrument-independent test descriptions is no longer simply represented by a special formatted test language, but any languages which build on a framework for component libraries of signal descriptions.
