Variability expansion for performance characteristics of (max,plus)-linear systems
We propose a new approach to performance evaluation of transient performance characteristics of stochastic (max,+)-linear systems. Our motivating example is the transient waiting time in the G/G/1 queue. Numerical results are given to illustrate the performance of our method.
