It is also an important tool for digital communication. The digital communications market is constantly expanding with new multimedia services and applications. In this context, the aim of the article is to identify individual tools of digital communication at the NUTS II level in the conditions of the Slovak and Czech Republic in the period 2017-2021. The data were drawn from the Eurostat database. The analysis showed that the biggest share of the population uses the Internet for internet banking services in both countries. In the Czech Republic, 73% of the population use the Internet for this service and in Slovakia 58% of the population. On the contrary, the Internet is the least used for services related to the sale of goods and services. Only 10% of the population of the Czech Republic and 27% of the population of the Slovak Republic use this service. In the individual regions of Slovakia and the Czech Republic, the share of households connected to the Internet as well as the use of the Internet for formal and informal communication increased significantly in 2021 compared to 2017.","PeriodicalId":240144,"journal":{"name":"International Scientific Days 2022: Efficient Sustainable and Resilient Agriculture and Food Systems – the Interface of Science Politics and Practice.
