The main advantage of this topology is the overall reduction in the number of power electronic switches, reduction in pre-calculated switching angles and reduction in the total harmonics distortion in the output voltage. Applications of this topology include dynamic hybrid battery/inverter and Photovoltaic/inverter systems to improve overall system operation and performance and at the same time improve output voltage and power generation quality.
