A collaborative framework for multi-modal information exchange in varying environments
This research and development report describes the progress achieved to-date in building a multi-modal collaboration framework for use in varying environments. The Framework developed is funded in full by the department of defense as a small business innovative research phase (SBIR) II effort. During the period of performance the proposed Framework is expected to be applied to relevant environments for evaluation and testing. Currently, the multi-modal advanced technologies for real-time information exchange (MATRIX) framework has been used by the Air Force Research Laboratory for human to human, resource to resource, and human to resource collaboration. The branch was able to customize the framework such that their domain specific modeling and simulation tools were added as plugins. The ongoing development of the MATRIX Framework promises a multi-modal collaborative framework for use in varying environments.
