Increasing the antifriction capacity of the bearing surfaces of tribosystems when using lubricants doped with cholesterol compounds and complexones
The tribo-induced effect of increasing the antifriction properties of lubricants with the combined use of cholesterol compounds and oil-soluble complexones is considered. It was found that the formation of boundary films is due to the following processes: the formation of complex compounds between ethanolamines and iron ions of the surface oxide film; removal of complexes from the friction surface; the interaction of the base of the lubricant with unoxidized iron; the formation of epitropic structured layers with cholesterol esters.
