Participants in collaborative work must access various kinds of information frequently. The information must be convenient to access and shared securely. This is because, in a highly competitive global industry, business competitiveness is influenced by the information. The existing mechanisms for information sharing in manufacturing cannot be applied to large-scale environments, incur high cost, and require expertise to apply them to a real environment. In this study, we propose a framework to share and manage the information securely in a collaborative and distributed design environment.
