Generally, a PUF is evaluated by three metrics: reliability, uniqueness, and uniformity. It is crucial for a PUF to have a good uniformity if it is used to generate cryptographic key. This paper focuses mainly on the Arbiter PUF and proposes a uniformity adjustment scheme for it. The main idea of this scheme is to add an adjustment module to the original circuit and construct an algorithm to automatically set the adjustment signals according to the responses.
