Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana persepsi pemustaka terhadap penerapan peminjaman mandiri di Perpustakaan SMA Negeri 5 Magelang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif dengan jenis survei. Penelitian ini mengambil sampel sebanyak 89 responden menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yang dihitung menggunakan rumus slovin. Metode kuesioner, observasi dan dokumentasi adalah teknik yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan datanya. Variabel penelitian diukur untuk mengetahui persepsi pemustaka terhadap variabel peminjaman mandiri berdasarkan skala likert yaitu 1 – 5. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif statistik. Hasil yang ditunjukkan dalam penelitian ini yaitu persepsi pemustaka mengenai variabel peminjaman mandiri termasuk pada kategori sangat tinggi dengan rata-rata skor jawaban sebesar 4,24. Peneliti memberikan rekomendasi agar Perpustakaan SMA Negeri 5 Magelang mengadakan survey mengenai jam buka layanan perpustakaan. Aplikasi yang digunakan untuk melakukan peminjaman mandiri perlu di update mengenai menu dan tampilan agar siswa lebih nyaman dan mudah dalam menggunakannya. Fitur penghitungan denda juga perlu diperbaiki agar penghitungan denda sesuai dengan aturan yang telah ditetapkan di perpustakaan SMA Negeri 5 Magelang. This research is a quantitative research with a descriptive method with a type of survey. This study took a sample of 89 respondents using purposive sampling technique which was calculated using the Slovin formula. Questionnaire, observation and documentation methods are the techniques used for data collection. The research variables were measured to determine the user’s perceptions of self-loan variables based on the Likert scale namely 1 - 5. The data analysis technique used was descriptive statistical analysis. The results shown in this study are the user’s perceptions regarding self-loan variables included in the very high category with an average score of answers of 4.24. The researcher gave a recommendation that the Library of SMA Negeri 5 Magelang conduct a survey regarding theopening hours of library services. Applications that are used to make self-loan need to be updated on menus and displays so students are more comfortable and easier to use. The calculation feature of the fine also needs to be corrected so that the calculation of fines is in accordance with the rules set at the library of SMA Negeri 5 Magelang.
