The technique used is the hashing value of the Rabin-Karp algorithm without modulo compared to the use of hashing using modulo. This experiment is done, because we assuming that the modulo value can yield an non-unique value so that several different words can have the same hashing value. Of course this affects essay answers that match the answer key. In this study, we built the essay scoring system automatically to experiment. We use essay data from our student exams. As an evaluation of the experimental results, we compared the results of the human essay assessment with the results of the essay assessment by hashing only and the results of the essay assessment with modulo hashing on Rabin-Karp. From our experimental test results.
