Bibliometric Analysis on Security of Different Layers in Internet of Things (IoT) Environment

The Internet of things (IoT), an integral part of the daily lives of urban habitats, is gaining pace in attaining importance in all aspects. In turn, this gives intelligence to make people's lives more comfortable and improves their quality of life. The association of the components with the internet for establishing communication among themselves facilitates a vast domain of varied applications in different industries. This association makes way for several security issues that are associated with the cloud or the internet. However, a number of flaws have been found that will keep the Internet of Things as a technology at risk. These issues often go unseen or ignored until the threat is caused. The domain of threats associated with IoT is extremely hazardous and complex. Thus, the protocols used for the security of the application layer are of utmost importance. A comprehensive and detailed study of the IoT, its architecture, components, threats, and bibliometric analysis is carried out in this study.
