The RF communication systems implemented in the TELEPATH concept system include wide-area, as well as short-range systems, demonstrating high, medium and low data-rate communication channels. The vehicle displays implemented include a hide-away color flat panel display and a multifunction head up display for basic vehicle information, navigation functions and other intelligent vehicle highway system (IVHS) data. These communication and display technologies are demonstrated using the TravTek navigation platform.
