Results of the experiments show that the required carrier to noise power density ratio (C/No) for voice communications is greater than 40 dBHz and the required C/No for pilot signal tracking is 34 dBHz. A comparison of the ACSSB system with the conventional narrowband frequency modulation (NBFM) system is also carried out.
