However, the major problem in OLSR is when a specific node loses any of its neighbors it will execute MPR continuously, which leads to broadcasting of the Topology Control (TC) message. In this paper, we propose two new methods called Backup MPR and Routing Table Mechanisms that minimize the number of execution of MPR in order to reduce the congestion of control messages in OLSR.
