Several studies on e-commerce adoption by SMEs in developing countries have been done. Unfortunately there are still a few studies for that in Indonesia, particularly in West Java province. In addition, only a few studies have been conducted to produce a model that can explain the success of SMEs in adopting e-commerce systems. This paper presents some preliminary study results with the aim to explore technological and organizational factors influencing e-commerce adoption by the SMEs. Three exploratory case studies in three manufacturing SMEs in West Java were conducted.
