Influencing factors and possible improvements for emission measurements above 1 GHz
The actual extension of the frequency range above 1 GHz changes the requirements for the measurement equipment and procedure. This paper deals with the emission measurement method in the fully anechoic chamber that is still under discussion in standardization committees (CISPR/A/WG2). Some measurement actions have been started by the German CISPR committee (DKE 767.4.1). The intention was to detect the deviation between the real maximal electrical field strength obtained by a nearly spherical scan versus the currently used planar scan. Therefore the influence of the angle increment of the turntable scan and the antenna height scan has been examined in detail. Furthermore different antennas have been compared. The results will be presented together with the theoretical background to derive improvements of the measurement procedure.
