As the industry develops, economic activities release in the atmosphere increasing quantities of greenhouse gases (CO2), quantities that cannot be captured in the natural carbon circuit. Earth observation systems permanently monitor carbon dioxide concentrations, which in 2016 the number of parts per million (ppm) exceeded the 400ppm threshold. The European Environment Agency, through the measures taken, endeavors to improve and design new valuation measures and air quality monitoring.
