The proposed wavetrap structure consists of a transmission line and a resistor which are in series. By placing two wavetraps between two patch antennas, the isolation between the two corresponding ports can be significantly improved over a wide frequency band. Theoretical analyses and full-wave simulations are carried out to verify the decoupling performance of the proposed method.
