Kapittel 4. Ungdommers fortelling om egen selvskading

We explore self harm among young people exposed to violence or sexual abuse. The study is based upon qualitative data where young people narrate about their self harm. Few qualitative studies about this topic have been done. The self harm is con-nected to difficult experiences and has an important function as affect-regulation. The study lends support to an association between exposure to violence and self harm.
