A-CAES (ADIABATIC COMPRESSOR AIR ENERGY STORAGE): APARATO EXPERIMENTAL EM ESCALA LABORATORIAL
: In developed countries, the demand for energy per capita tends to be much higher those with an inefficient economic model. It is also a fact that energy has been consumed in greater quantity over time. Fitting in the form of potential energy storage, adiabatic air compression energy storage (A-CAES) can function as a regulator for electrical power systems generated by renewable or unfit systems and make it available on-site and at the appropriate time of use, without having to send it to the distribution network, which may be unavailable or unfit to receive it. There are some industrial plants made in the world, the Huntorf plant in Germany (beginning in 1978) one of the main ones listed for its pioneering. Many use the concept of compression aged by large turbo-machines and generation with the same equipment. The uses are somewhat different, but aim to ensure the continuous and stable supply of energy. This work aims to present a laboratory prototype designed and built in UTFPR/Ponta Grossa to study the efficiency of A-CAES in micro-systems, with extension of results for conceptions of various sizes.
