The present work deals with the numerical methods of Bissection, False Position and Newton to approximate zeros of polynomial functions of any degree, given the intervals in which these functions vanish, either when it can be deduced or in scenarios where such intervals can be inferred. It is noteworthy that this research comprises the elaboration of algorithms and demands computational thinking in order to solve problems in accordance with the aspects provided for the National Common Curricular Base. The use of the educational software Visual Numerical Calculation and Excel was decisive for the efficiency of the algorithms in terms of speed and accuracy.
