For each signed contract, the network administrator defines the type of protection (1:1, 1+1 or l:n) through service classes (gold, silver, bronze). However, the pre-planned backup routes can be inadequate to guarantee the SLA (service level agreement). In case of failure, there is no way to guarantee that the choosen protection route will meet the client requirements.
