These teen activists engage in their activism through social media. Following an analysis of a dozen listings in books and websites of young and teenage activists, 38 teenage cyber-activists have been identified who at least have a Twitter or Instagram accounts. The main results point to a female profile and environmental causes. Another notable finding is the predominance of Instagram, which doubles the number of followers and macroinfluencers of Twitter.
