Identifying family effort factors in preventing Covid-19 transmission in rural areas
Various efforts enacted by the government to reduce the number of Covid-19 transmissions are still not maximally implemented. The role of the family, which has been considered the target for increasing compliance with health protocols in accordance with the government's appeal, has not been successful in its implementation due to the increasing spike of Covid-19 cases. This study identifed the factors that influence family efforts in preventing Covid-19 transmission using a descriptive cross sectional design. Data analysis used the bivariate and multivariate test to determine all variables' relationship and dominant factor with family efforts in preventing Covid-19. Based on the data analysis, it was found that there were 4 dominant factors related to efforts to prevent Covid-19: education, access to information, knowledge and attitudes. Finally, it can illustrate that the conditions and characteristics of individuals are very different so that the role of the government is needed to always provide health education either through direct activities or through information on TV, social media and other public information as well as facilitating all access to health services that are available to all levels of society, especially family. © 2023 American Institute of Physics Inc..
