The algae growth stimulation as well as the reduction of phenol toxic effect in the culture medium with the added mussel hydrolyzate was observed. These effects were obtained at hydrolyzate concentrations from 0.05 to 0.5 mg∙l-1 in recalculation of protein and phenol concentrations up to 10 mg∙l-1. One of the reasons for P. cordatum growth stimulation in darkness and light intensity from 17 μE m-2 s-1 to 100 μE∙m-2∙s-1 is myxotrophy.
