For analyzing the effect of the positions of monopole antenna mounted on a conductive plane to its transient response, the combination of a typical electromagnetic computing method- method of Moment and Fourier transform is used to obtain the transient response. The procedure validation is proved with commercial electromagnetic software and radiation test. With two field distribution configurations of HEMP incident wave, this paper provides the analysis and comparison of transient response for the SC current and load current of monopole antenna port when monopole is mounted on different positions of a conductive plane.
