One of the main reasons for this is its effectiveness when traveling in the traffic and high fuel efficiency. At present, Electric Motorcycles (EMs) are available in the market. EM has storage with relatively smaller capacity when compared with Electric cars. Thus the charging time of an EM battery is less when compared with Electrical cars. Unlike Electric cars these EMs can be charged throughout a day. Thus the charging pattern of an EM would be different and collective power profile a distribution network differs from existing profile. This paper investigates the effect of electric motorcycle charging on the distribution network using load flow techniques. Further, an electric motorcycle charger with the capability of slow and fast charging is proposed in the paper.
