The use of proper design methodology to ensure that the system survives EMP and activates the crucial life support systems is discussed in this paper. The paper also discusses the EMP levels encountered during on board operation of such a system for fighting vehicle and methods that are adopted to bring them to safe levels along with test results done in house at CVRDE.
