Selecting the best antenna may be very important, but selecting the right antenna can be a difficult task, because of variation in the way manufacturers specify and describe them. This paper introduces a method to measure an antenna gain and antenna factor of small loop antennas. It is well known, that the antenna measurement in an anechoic chamber requests the calibrated reference antenna. Unfortunately, the space, cost, and time requirements for that chamber installation are quiet high. In this paper, GTEM cell has been proposed for this measurement as a more effective alternative, where the additional reference antenna isn't necessary.
