A single phase half bridge inverter topology does not inject dc into the grid, but its output voltage has only three levels, thus lower power quality. This paper proposes a transformer-less topology for improving the power quality of the inverter output voltage, and increasing its power rating. Level and phase shifted sinusoidal pulse-width modulation (LPSPWM) technique is used for PWM generation.
