Ex-Ey hybrid Probe for High Frequency Electromagnetic Interference Measurement
A Ex-Ey hybrid electric probe for high frequency electromagnetic interference (EMI) measurement was proposed in the paper. The probe was designed to measure Ex and Ey in the meantime. And its working frequency is up to 55 GHz. Four metal sidewalls were used to decrease the interference of unwanted fields. In this paper, time domain reflectometry (TDR) was used to optimize the impedance matching, which was the key to achieve a high working frequency. Measured data from probe above a microstrip trace shows that the frequency response of wanted field coupling and 20-40 dB suppression of unwanted field coupling from 1 GHz to 55 GHz.
