EMC “Black Box” model for unbalanced power electronic converters
In the first part, this papers proposes a “black box” model for the EMC modelling of a power converter in the case of an asymmetrical topology due to the conversion structure or because of imperfections of the components. The modelling approach relies on external observations and the two-port network theory. Because of the imbalance of the converter, the common to differential mode conversion (and reverse) are considered. This model is applied to a boost converter in the second part of the paper to investigate the imbalance effect on common mode current.
