The antenna has a compact volume of 16.1 × 10 × 0.127 mm3. The matching between a rectangular taper slot and 50-Ω microstrip line is manipulated through aproximity-feed technique. Furthermore, the fermi taper slot antenna is modified by incorporating corrugations on the edges of fermi metallic flaring section. The antenna is designed to operate within the frequency band of 15.4 GHz to 36.8 GHz with -10dB impedance bandwidth.
