Renewable energy systems such as solar and wind generates good amount of electric power with the availability of natural inputs such as solar irradiation and wind speed but the problem is choosing of their rating and quantity. Hence optimization is the process carried out for getting proper size of the various components and their quantity. In this paper optimization studies for a village load profile is carried out by using HOMER software and also makes a comparison on variation of optimization results for a fixed load profile with the change of locations in India.
