The construction of the separator and the position of the permanent magnets are described, and data are obtained experimentally along the longitudinal and cross axis of the drum separator. Attention is paid to the characteristics of the used magnetic material and its properties. By computer modelling, a pattern is obtained of the magnetic field of the separator. A comparison is made between the obtained results and the conducted experiment.
