One of the key issues which are urgent to be solved is to effectively classify human error, while now there is still no uniform fixed method. Firstly, engineering classification method and cognitive behavioral classification method are analyzed starting from the definition of the human error in this paper. On this basis, the paper also gives the comprehensive evaluation index for controllable human error using Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA). At last, taken the assembling process of the automobile gearbox for example, a case study is conducted.
