SPGR based energy-efficient routing technique in MANETs
Energy-efficiency of ad-hoc networks has been a crucial issue in recent years. In this paper, first, geographic routing protocols of which the distinctive feature is the ability to be aware of the geographic location of nodes were studied in terms of energy-efficiency. Then, a new energy-efficient geographic routing technique is introduced. It is shown that the technique introduced has low delay and long network lifetime results compared to the Geographic Routing Protocol (GRP) technique and the Shortest Path Based Geographical Routing (SPGR) technique.
