Recent Insights into Proteomics in Plant Pathology
In this review we examine current proteomic approaches used for studies about plant-pathogen interactions. The proteomic analysis has been greatly developed in recent years, and rapid advances are widely discussed. Proteomic date provides the quantitative and qualitative information about resistance-related proteins during plant-pathogen interaction. By studying these differentially expressed proteins, we can better understand the relationship between these proteins and biological resistance. Proteomic studies provide a strategy for studying plant- pathogen interactions and make significant progress in the study of model plants and major crops. Therefore, the search for resistance-related genes or proteins can provide comprehensive information on the physiological response and regulatory mechanisms, which will in turn provide opportunities to improve plant resistance.
