Moreover, this situation is studied when a conducting tape helix structure is introduced at the boundary of the isotropic dielectric core and the inner dielectric clad of the fiber. The outer clad is considered to be made of anisotropic nematic liquid crystal (NLC). Using Maxwell's electromagnetic field equations, confinement plots are obtained for the transmitted power in each scenario, under the situation of varying core dimension, and compared.
