To solve the non-convex NP-hard optimization problem, the original problem is rewritten as a sparsity digital precoding optimization problem based on the predesigned analog precoder codebook. Then a convex sparsity inducing approximation method is used to transform the problem into a suitable semidefinite positive (SDP) problem. Finally, an effective algorithm is developed to solve the SDP problem of interest for the hybrid digital/analog MISO systems.
