The prime mission of the DOCS is to monitor and control the world-wide DSCS X-band communication networks. The DOCS is being developed in an evolutionary way from the current manual system to a highly automated system that will include specific control elements developed by several contractors. The DSCS Operational Control System (DOSS) is the heart of the DOCS. The DOSS will receive measurement data from the other DOCS Control elements, correlate this data by network elements (e.g. links, terminals, satellite channels) and provide alarms and supporting displays to SATCOM Network Controllers at both local and remote locations.
