The EMF Exposure Observation by Serbian EMF RATEL System in a Zone of Increased Sensitivity
The zones of increased sensitivity to electromagnetic field (EMF) exposure have an important place in process of EMF monitoring. Such zones are residential zones where persons can stay24 hours a day; preschools, schools, hospitals, tourist facilities and children’s playgrounds. In most cases they are well covered by signals of cellular networks and their services, requiring comprehensive monitoring of present EMF exposure. Such monitoring should be mandatory when technical changes are performed on radiation elements of EMF sources, in the vicinity of these zones. Thus, the suitable EMF monitoring and assessment of the human exposure to EMFs become an important topic for relevant research community, as well as for public debates on dangerous health effects of EMF exposure. In this paper, utilization of the Serbian EMF RATEL network and its approach of continuous EMF monitoring in University of Novi Sad campus, as a zone of increased sensitivity, will be considered.
