In this paper, we studied the main properties of the fractional Fourier transform. And applying these properties to digital watermarks, we propose a new digital image watermarking method. The theoretical analysis and experimental results show that the proposed method has strong robustness against a large number of watermark attacks, namely, it can improve security and robustness of the watermarking.
