The architecture of the expert system, both hardware and software, is described briefly as well as the main principles of the software involved. A didactic method used for transmitting to students all this knowledge is revealed, as well as the on-line procedure for a virtual laboratory used by our students. It involves three different stages, from taking measurements, data analysis up to conclusions.
