Experiments and simulations of infrared transmission by transverse electric mode through Au gratings on silicon with various Au widths
We have measured infrared (2.5~25 mum) transmission by the transverse electric (TE) mode through Au gratings on silicon substrate with various Au widths. Simulation is used by surface impedance boundary condition (SIBC) method. Simulation results agree well with experiments and offer an evanescent-wave model.
