In this paper, we show that the angular resolution of MIMO radars can be further increased by combining MIMO processing with an array extrapolation method based on Burg’s algorithm. Moreover, we demonstrate that Burg’s algorithm is also able to interpolate missing virtual antenna elements caused by failure of physical receive antennas.
