Daun benalu duku diekstrak hingga diperoleh ekstrak methanol. Hasil pengujian ekstrak methanol menunjukkan bahwa daun benalu duku hijau dan merah mempunyai nilai IC50 masing-masing 13.21 ppm dan 11.35 ppm. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak methanol daun benalu duku hijau (Dendrophthoe pentandara (L.) Miq) bersifat lebih aktif sebagai antioksidan dibandingkan ekstrak methanol daun benalu duku merah (Scurrula ferruginea (Jack) Danser). \n  \nDPPH method was performed toevaluate the antioxidant activity of Dendrophthoepentandara (L.) Miq and Scurrulaferruginea (Jack) Danser. The leaves of each sample were extracted using methanol and the obtained extract was called as methanol extract.
